Dubai Charity Association" has launched its humanitarian campaign "Himam" to support people of determination for the year 2026. The campaign's scope extends to beneficiaries across the UAE and in 20 countries worldwide, as part of providing sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of life for this group and grant them full opportunities to achieve self-independence
The campaign embodies the inspiring humanitarian vision of the United Arab Emirates in removing obstacles for People of Determination and solidifying their active integration into society. The Association has designed a package of qualitative projects covering the requirements of a dignified life, as well as rehabilitation and vocational empowerment, tailored to the diverse needs and capabilities of beneficiaries both inside and outside the country
His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Dubai Charity Association, emphasized that the " Himam " campaign reflects the association's firm commitment to sustainable investment in the capabilities of people of determination, stating: "Supporting people of determination goes beyond traditional assistance into comprehensive strategic empowerment that redefines the boundaries of capability and independence. At Dubai Charity, we have ensured that our programs within and outside the country focus on human development, providing facilities, assistive tools, and rehabilitation solutions that guarantee an improved quality of life, empowering them to rely on themselves and enrich their communities with their creative energies
At the local level within the UAE, the campaign focuses on providing assistive tools and technologies that address the daily needs of beneficiaries, most notably medical hearing aids, advanced wheelchairs, and specialized canes for the visually impaired. In addition, it offers options for direct support and care for a person of determination for a full month or year, ensuring the provision of their livelihood essentials and continuous assistance
Internationally, across 20 countries worldwide, the projects expand to empower People of Determination both physically and economically by providing prosthetics, wheelchairs, and suitable mobility aids such as motorcycles, alongside equipping training and rehabilitation centers, organizing workshops, and supplying vocational machinery and equipment to help them acquire practical skills and enter the labor market. Furthermore, the campaign launches specialized initiatives such as the 'Es'ad Saheb Hemmah' (Happiness of a Person of Determination) package to boost their self-confidence and achieve social stability
HE Ahmed Al Suwaidi called upon benevolent individuals and institutions to partner in creating this sustainable humanitarian impact, emphasizing that supporting this campaign translates the values of solidarity and community cohesion into a tangible reality that makes a fundamental difference in the lives of thousands of beneficiaries.
