As part of its commitment to community partnership and the promotion of sustainable giving, Dubai Charity Association participated in the “A good habit” initiative, launched by the UAE Nation platform and hosted by Tadawi Hospital in Dubai. The initiative aimed to support patients and promote the values of humanitarian solidarity by reviving the traditional Emirati practice of visiting patients in hospitals after Friday prayers.
The event was attended by H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity Association, who led an official delegation from the Association. They were welcomed by a distinguished group of executive and administrative leaders from Tadawi Hospital.
The initiative included a tour by the Association’s delegation and the hospital’s management, covering several specialized departments and patient wards to check on their health, present them with gifts, and help lift the spirits of those undergoing treatment, bring comfort to them, and create an atmosphere of hope and positivity—particularly for expatriate patients and those who do not have their families by their side during their treatment.
In a press statement on the occasion, H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity Association, affirmed that this participation represents a practical translation of the wise vision of the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, which has made humanitarian work and social responsibility a way of life and an established institutional culture.
He added: Our participation in the ‘A good habit’ initiative, in partnership with Tadawi Hospital, is a community initiative with a noble humanitarian message launched by UAE Nation. It reflects the philosophy of Dubai Charity Association, which goes beyond providing financial support and traditional assistance to include psychological and emotional support for various segments of society, particularly patients who need gestures of care, solidarity, and support.
Our presence today within the hospital is a message of community solidarity, through which we reaffirm that we are all united in serving humanity. We will continue to expand the scope of our institutional partnerships to spread the lasting impact of good across all vital sectors, foremost among them the healthcare sector.”
