Dubai Charity Association has announced the receipt of a financial contribution of AED 600,000 from Dubai Islamic Bank in support of the Association’s humanitarian and community initiatives. This contribution reflects the Bank’s leading role in supporting the charitable sector and enhancing the quality of life of deserving beneficiaries.
The contribution is equally allocated between two initiatives, with AED 300,000 dedicated to each. The first allocation will support the initiative to distribute water coolers at the entrances of residential homes across the Emirate of Dubai. This initiative aims to promote social solidarity by providing chilled drinking water to passersby, workers, and underprivileged families, while reinforcing the culture of offering water and encouraging charitable giving within the UAE community.
The remaining half will be allocated to support the School Bag Initiative, which aims to ease the financial burden on underprivileged and low-income families by providing students with essential school supplies at the beginning of the academic year. The initiative seeks to bring joy to students and support them in continuing their educational journey.
In this regard, H.E. Eng. Adel Al Suwaidi, Board Member, Treasurer, and Chief Operations Officer of Dubai Charity Association, said:
"We are always pleased to strengthen the framework of our sustainable strategic partnership with Dubai Islamic Bank, which consistently demonstrates its leadership and strong commitment to national and community responsibility.
H.E. added: "The AED 600,000 contribution will have a direct and tangible impact on the success of our humanitarian initiative to distribute water coolers at residential home entrances, as well as bringing joy and ease to the hearts of the families and students benefiting from the School Bag Initiative. We believe that the collaboration between the well-established banking sector and charitable organizations is the cornerstone for strengthening the values of solidarity and social cohesion in our generous Emirati society.
This support reflects Dubai Islamic Bank’s commitment to building effective partnerships with leading charitable and humanitarian organizations in the UAE, enhancing the impact of sustainable humanitarian efforts and expanding the reach of beneficiaries, embodying the highest values of giving in the Emirate of Dubai.
